Avira not updating windows 7


BUt atm its good again, I installed the program and then it wouldnt update, so I did the first one manually and now the program updates every day. thank you very much, the setting with the proxy-server worked. Even after the major update that gave a lotta people problems I had no problems with avira updating.

I had proxy server activated in IE (internet options) and in the avtivir update settings. dont know why it was activated, never used a proxy. However, after last patch tuesday (13th of October) by M$ for Windows (which I updated on the 14th), Avira doesn't seem to automatically update anymore. Since I run as a Power User, I have to switch to my Admin account to do this. :-/ Here's a part of my update error log: [UPD] [INFO] Downloading of ' to 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avira\Anti Vir Desktop\TEMP\UPDATE\idx\master.idx'.
